NVIDIA is planning to release the G80 GPU in the second or third week of November.
The G80 will be launched as the GeForce 8800 and will be the first DirectX 10 graphics card. Currently the company is planning to release two versions: the GeForce 8800 GTX and the cheaper GeForce 8800 GT. The GTX version may have up to 768MB DDR4 memory clocked at 1.5GHz. The expected retail prices are $649 for the GTX and somewhere between $399 and $499 for the GT.
ATI's first DirectX 10 graphics card is the R600 but according to the latest rumours this graphics card has been delayed to early 2007.

Stydur nanast allt sem Direct X 10 býdur uppá og thad sem Microsoft finnst mikilvaegast vid Direct X 10, Unified Shader Architecture. ATi hafa forskot á nVIDIA í thetta skipti og náid samstarf vid Microsoft, ATi gera allt sem their segja en nVIDIA reynir alltaf ad berjast á móti. Ég efast um ad G80 verdi gott DX10 kort, nVIDIA endurtaka oruglega GeForce 5 leikin núna og verda med mikid verri kort svo ég maeli med ad thid verdid rólegir thar til AMD gefa út sín kort.
