Thinkpad T14s 6 Gen with Snapdragon X Elite - For programming studies

Hello,

I've been looking to buy a computer for my studies that will last long on battery.
I have been seeing online about this computer and that it should have really good battery life. I read about 29 hours online and now some people on reddit saying they are getting 8-9 hours.

But also I've seen people be worried about compatibility issues and calling people who bought it now "beta testers" so this has worried me.

Would it be a bad idea to buy this computer now? or a risk?

And people saying that even though its OLED it would be good for programming because usually when you are writing code and stuff the screen is mostly dark.

Also I saw this video now and he got 20 something hours of battery life on video playback which is insane but at the same time why did this one reddit user get only 8-9. I don't think he was gaming but I'm not sure. Kind of worrisome to have such huge difference :/

New tech is always a risk, ARM support on windows is not mature.
Are you willing to tread ahead of the crowd in this regard? Risk potential compatibility issues with the programs you need and want to run? A lof of the software you can run on ARM chips in Windows today, are through a compatibility layer, not natively.
