gnarr skrifaði:Breyta home í pro?? what? hvernig er það hægt? Ég hef reynt að fá home til að muna password á network share-i. það tókst ekki.
Það er hægt en það er ekki alveg það sama
Þetta myndi vera með:1. GUI for the administration of Permissions to files and folders
2. Administration of accounts and groups under Computer Management
3. Advanced file sharing
4. Runas option /savecred
5. Domain integration
6. Encrypted File System (EFS)
7. Dynamic disk
8. Remote desktop (server)
9. "Administrator" may log on after normal Windows start
10. Offline Files
Þetta yrði ekki með:1. Netware client
2. Webserver IIS
3. Group policy editor gpedit.msc
4. Local security settings under Administrative Tools
5. Command tools tasklist and taskkill
Warning, danger!
We need to be clear about one thing: the conversion described here does involve two risks. The first one is that Microsoft might release an upgrade or a service pack that blocks the use of XP Home as a Professional version. In the worst-case scenario, you then might not be able to log on or even start the system at all. Service Pack 2 already cannot be subsequently changed into XP HomePro, and the same will probably be true if Service Pack 3 is ever released.
The second danger is that we do not yet know of any way to undo the conversion into a Professional version. The XP Home set up does not offer a downgrade, and the XP Home repair installation refuses to repair XP Professional.
For these reasons, we urgently recommend that you make an image of the system partition and backup all of your personal data before you make these changes. You will find the one imaging program, for instance, in the CD provided with c't 24/04. We also presented a backup script in [9]. Otherwise, the only way to return to XP Home is to completely reinstall the system from the original CD.
If you want to try out what we described here just out of personal interest, you should do so on a test system instead of on the PC you use for work. Ideally, you could try this procedure out on a PC emulator, but a test computer or a parallel installation of the system also suffice. For more on that, see [10].
We strongly advise you not to use a converted operating system in a productive environment where long downtimes are not acceptable.

Ég hef sjálfur ekki prufað þar sem mig vantar þegar fleiri test tölvur, en hefði gjarnan langað að vita hvernig þetta kæmi út.
Ég hefði sjálfur ekki notað þetta, heldur frekar prufað.
