Skellti mér á þetta: http://www.cdkeysdirect.com/ og pantaði COD4 lykil fyrir 13.99$, fékk hann sendan í emaili 12 tímum síðar og er að spila á fullu núna

Þurfti reyndar að redda mér disknum en það var auðvelt.

Mæli því með þessu ef þið getið "reddað" ykkur orginal DVD disknum..

Ég hef verið að kaupa leiki á þessari síðu http://www.g2play.net/store/ og tekur það um 2 tíma að fá lykilinn sendan í tölvupósti. Ég keypti fyrir jól COD MW2 töluvert ódýrara en á Steam, þar sem ég bý í Svíþjóð þá átti leikurinn að kosta um 600 sek á Steam en ég greiddi 350 sek á þessari síðu.

Ég skil ekki afhverju þú þurftir að redda þér disknum, ég setti bara lykilinn inn í Steam, ss. Activate a product on Steam og downloadaði honum.

Ég reyndi að activate'a á STEAM en það virkaði ekki, það er víst ekki hægt að activate'a marga 3rd party (þ.e. non valve/steam) leiki á STEAM...

Steam has reportedly implemented a total ban on "grey market" keys used to unlock CD copies of Modern Warfare 2. According to Voodoo Extreme, both Steam and Activision consider the controversial keys as having been obtained from "illegitimate sellers." ??

"[This] is a half truth, at best. The keys in question are purchased legally in Asia and other territories, where Activision is unable to charge through the nose and then sold on for a profit," wrote Voodoo's Andrew Burnes.

Steam bans

"Grey importing has been a big deal for many years, for all kinds of products. Manufacturers often attempt to ban the practice in the interest of their bottom line, but the legality on both sides of the fence is, as the name suggests, grey, and as such the industry continues to thrive."

Burnes added that Activision's ban of legally purchased keys has turned into a "hot topic" for debate.

According to SavyGamer G2Play.net is selling stolen CD-Keys…at least for the game called Blood Bowl.

Another thing about G2Play.net. In the past (like two or a year ago) their prices were really attractive, but since Valve changed the currency for countries around the world G2Play’s prices went up high…I mean it looks like they are trying to rip off some people by setting the price higher than it really is.

I have removed G2Play.net from the alternative shops (approved sellers list) – at least for now.

Edit: CDkey-Game.com was also removed due to this.

Steam Bans Grey Market MW2 Keys

Steam users who purchased keys for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 through what turn out to be grey market sources have found themselves banned from playing the game. Apparently users have been able to buy discounted keys from sources that buy them in bulk for cyber cafes, foreign sales, and similar setups, only to find this is a no-no. A post to the Steam Users' Forums by Valve's BurtonJ says: "If you purchased just a cd key for the game then you purchased from an illegitimate seller and the game has been revoked." In a later post he clarifies: "I am sorry but you all did not purchase from a legitimate retailer. It is recommended that you contact the seller to request a refund. In the future, you should only buy unopened retail boxed copies from legitimate retailers or purchase via legitimate digital download services such as Steam and Direct2Drive."

These sites work by mass buying cheap retail discs from third world and developing countries, then stripping the keys from them and selling them to online customers from first world countries. That's how they can both sell at those low prices, and at the same time make a profit. What they do is legal, as many countries around the world have Trade Agreements which allow such sort of re-selling transactions to take place. It's no secret DD services like Steam/D2D etc and some publishers HATE these sites, but they cannot shut them down as they are not breaking the law.

However, some companies or people like Bobby Satan Kotick have no regard for the law or other countries Trade Agreements, and will willingly break it if it means making a profit. So for example Activision instructed Valve to disable MW2 keys which originated from a third world country but was being used in a first world country. Other publishers (even Valve) will occasionally do the same, region lock the use of their keys via DRM or whatever.

I don't use these sites but generally speaking based on many users feedback most of the time you should be fine purchasing from such sites - and in the long run even if a couple if your games get disabled, they'll refund you and you'll still come out on top savings wise.
